Half and Full day Wade trips on the South Holston River or the Watauga River tailwaters.
Half-day trips last for four or five hours on the water. Full day trips last between eight and nine hours, with an hour of the day having a home-cooked picnic lunch provided on the riverbank. Half and Full day Walk-In Stream fishing trips

Wild Rainbows, Browns and Native Brook trout are thriving in this area, and we know where they are! Many consider this mountainous area to be one of Tennessee’s best-kept fishing secrets. The pristine streams in this area provide some world-class fishing. These trips may require moderate hiking and there is also tight stream cover in several places which demands more advanced techniques.  We want you to have a fun, memorable trip, not a frustrating one. Please be aware that this type of stream fishing is not advised for the beginning angler. Unless you are an experienced angler, let us first improve your skill levels on a river. Half-day mountain stream fishing trip -$100.00 -1 person / $150.00-2 persons. Snacks and drinks provided.
Full day mountain stream fishing trip- $175.00-1 person / $225.00-2 persons. Snacks, drinks and streamside lunch provided.

Float Trips for Smallmouth Bass

The local warm water rivers have begun to be recognized as outstanding smallmouth bass fisheries, with good numbers of trophy fish being caught every year, but … we have known that for years!! Come try a full day smallmouth float trip on the Lower Holston River, the North Fork of the Holston River or the Nolichucky River. Many smallmouth bass caught on our trips have met the criteria to qualify the lucky angler for a Tennessee State Angler Recognition Award. If you land such a fish, we will assist you in processing appropriate paperwork for your State issued certificate. Whether you prefer to flyfish with big shad imitations or just throw your trusty spinning gear rigged with jerk baits or soft plastics, you are in for a treat. Don’t forget your camera, you may catch the smallmouth bass of a lifetime! Scenic Float Trips

Sit back, relax, and enjoy a quiet comfortable ride down the river. There is some spectacular scenery in this area that is never seen except by boat. We usually spot abundant wildlife, waterfowl and birds of prey. This is a really good way to get some wonderful pictures if you enjoy photography. You don’t have to fish to enjoy the river! Local River Shuttle Service

If you’ve brought your own boat and need a shuttle, give us a call! We will provide safe, insured drivers to get your rig downriver for you. Please give us as much advance notice as possible. River shuttle service for the South Holston River or Watauga River-starting at $25.00 per vehicle
 
 

Fly fishing Instruction

If you would like to learn how to flyfish, or are just getting started in the sport, we can provide complete instruction on fly fishing basics, casting, required gear, general entomology, and reading the water. You are never too young or old to learn to flyfish and we will work especially hard to make learning easy to understand and put what you’ve learned to immediate use. Our instructional classes usually last five to six hours, with the first two hours spent on the riverbank learning the basics. The next three to four hours will be spent in the water honing your skills, and maybe catching your first trout on a fly! If you are serious about learning to fly fish, this class may be the best investment that you can make.
Fly fishing Instruction- $150.00 per person *maximum 2 per class

 

 

Corporate & Group Fishing Trips

Whether entertaining prospective clients or just getting together for an outdoor trip with a group of friends, we can provide service for parties of up to six people on float trips. We will do everything in our power to make this trip one that your group never forgets. We need advance notice to be able to accommodate large groups, so please contact us early, with your requirements so we may book your trip accordingly.
