Welcome to the high country! We are a full service fly fishing shop & licensed/insured fly fishing guide service offering float and wade fishing trips for Trout & Smallmouth Bass on the scenic rivers & trout streams in the mountains of western North Carolina, southwest Virginia & east Tennessee.

Our full-service fly shop offers one of the largest assortments of fly tying materials for trout, smallmouth bass & saltwater flies in the state of North Carolina. We also regularly offer fly fishing schools, fly casting classes & fly tying classes. We offer guided fishing trips on a daily basis.
We are located just 4 miles from the beautiful Stone Mountain State Park & 15 miles from the Mitchell River, both of which are the most heavily stocked trout fishing streams in northwest North Carolina. We're also just 20 miles from the New River, which is North Carolina's premier smallmouth bass fishing stream & also offers Musky fishing opportunities. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 10 minutes from our store & the trout streams along the parkway offer excellent wild trout fishing opportunities. If you're in our area, just get out your map & follow one of the small blue lines near the tops of the mountains & chances are good you'll find wild trout &/or smallmouth bass. Our area is the best kept fly fishing secret in the North Carolina mountains.
