A Sharpsburg landmark since 1804 this award winning Bed & Breakfast is brimming with historic charm and gracious hospitality. Guests enjoy our spacious landscaped grounds and gardens located in the center of an historic village little changed since the Civil War.

Our five lovingly restored guest rooms are within walking distance of restaurants, ice cream parlor, bakery, taverns, and the Antietam Battlefield. Guests may visit four national parks, Antietam, the C&O Canal, the Appalachian Trail, and Harpers Ferry, as well as South Mountain State Battlefield and John Brown's HQ, the Kennedy Farm all within 12 miles of the Inn. Bicycles are available for guests to explore the parks, and surrounding country roads.
 

Jacob Rohrbach Inn Beedroom

The Antietam Room, the largest room in the main building, features a queen sized bed, a private bath with a tub and shower, the room has a private entrance, a large porch overlooks the gardens, cable TV, DVD, and VCR. This room can be adjoined with the Clara Barton Room for a larger group.
Room rate is $156 single, $184 double

B & B Bedroom Maryland

The gracious Thomas Jackson Room, on the ground floor has a queen size bed, a private bath, cable TV, DVD, private garden porch and separate entrance. This room was once the Rohrbach family's formal parlor reserved for entertaining guests.
Room rate is $144 single, $172 double

The cozy Clara Barton Room, is furnished with an antique full size double bed and a dresser which were handmade by Joanne's grandfather. The Clara Barton room's private bath features an old fashioned clawfoot tub and a sunflower shower. This room has cable TV and VCR.
Room rate is $114 single, $142 double.

 

Maryland Bed and Breakfast Inn Bedroom

The Harpers Ferry Suite, features a private bath, private porch and separate entrance. The bedroom has both a double and a twin bed. The sitting room has a sofa that opens into an additional bed. There is also a desk and cable TV and DVD. A large shady porch overlooks the gardens. This room can accommodate three adults or a couple with two smaller children. Room rate is $144 single, $172 double, $200 triple.

All rates include Joanne's bountiful multi-course gourmet breakfast, home baked cookies, and complimentary beverages featuring our specially selected La Minita estate grown coffee imported from the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica and freshly roasted here at the Inn. Our full breakfast is served in our dining room each morning at 8:30. The first course includes fresh fruit, juices, and homemade pastries. The main course may include Eggs Benedict, Belgian Waffles, or other gourmet specialties. Continental breakfast is available for guests wishing to eat at another time 

B and B Breakfast Maryland

Our own gardens supply not only flowers for the table, but also much of our herbs and produce, including strawberries, peaches, and melons in season. Eggs, fruits and vegetables are purchased from local farmers. We bake fresh pastries daily and our home-style breads are fresh from the Mennonite bakery here in town.
Within an hour's drive, scenic country roads lead you to Gettysburg, Berkeley Springs, Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park. Make the Jacob Rohrbach Inn your home away from home as you wander through the countryside and explore the Mid-Atlantic, knowing that at the end of the day you will be returning to a comfortable haven.
